Dartmoors secret wedding venue gem

Badgers holt is suuuuuch pretty venue, we shot here last year and it was so much fun. We met Emma at a wedding fair a few months before (she’s awesome, she was organising most of the day and was amazing at it)

Badgers Holt is tucked-away in the heart of Dartmoor’s stunning National Park, it’s surrounded by wild moorland. We really wanted to venture up to the moors but ran out of sweet time. So we made most of the beautiful scenery on site. The first photo is situated behind the venue so it's a little tucked away but worth the walk behind the building.

The bottom photo is just as you come in to the venue, it's also a bit of a walk about 10 mins or so but totally worth it for the stone bridge.

It’s location offers a natural setting, so ideal for couple that want a rustic, natural vibe to their wedding. Badgers Holt was once an old fishing lodge (hence the river) It’s located at the foot of Yar Tor, where the east and west tributaries of the River Dart meet.

They have a number of ceremony spaces - The Riverside Garden Room, Banquet Fireside Room & Bandstand alongside the river Dart. S&G had their ceremony inside with a beautiful floral arrangement, we were a little obsessed with it. There was a tonne of photos but some of our favourites are below.

We have a couple photos of the bandstand, which is also beautiful, when we return we really hope we get to experience a ceremony set up outside! It’s so pretty! However, using it for some couple portraits was just as sweet.

S&G added their own unique twist and personality to the venue, they love metal music (which we were fully on board with) So they had lyrics to their favourite songs scattered around the venue, with bits of emo décor around (hells yeah)

Now we HAVE to mention the flowers a little more, and give credit to the amazing Milli Fleur, we must say – its probably been our favourite florals for a wedding so far (but we are a little emo ourselves so, perhaps that’s why)
